The latest installment of IHMS3, Build 3.1101, boasts a brand new reporting system plus a host of the amazing new features you've been requesting. All reports throughout IHMS were redone in a new stylish, organized format called L-Reports. Some reports feature pie charts and other graphics, and all were designed with easier to read fonts and styling.
Check Processing has a new house filter to select invoices by a single house.
Check Processing has capability for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Instructions explaining the setup is now available in MARKdocs.
Check Processing now has the ability for precise positioning and now very adaptable to different types of check stock. If check alignment is not perfect due to a custom check stock, the new alignment program can more accurately position all fields, as well as, hide unnecessary fields.
Balance Sheet and Profit / Loss Statement now have built-in export to Excel functionality.
Open Invoice by House report added cost code column to this report.
Settled House Report added total from COGS column and total from actual column to this report, which by looking at the total from COGS column allows you to view anticipated profitability if you relieved more than your actuals anticipating more costs to come in for work completed late in the build process.
New 'GL Group Report' allows you to customize your own simple multi-company report! Designed specifically so you can run a Cash Balance report showing you your cash account balances across all companies, but the number of reports you can create with this program are endless.
Active User Display now has the ability to send messages to all users who are logged in to IHMS!
The ITK no longer supports older versions of Internet Explorer (IE6). The minimum requirement for Internet Explorer is now IE7.
* 1099 Form Alignment Program taken off the menu in lieu of a stronger alignment program accomplished via the [home]/lib-customer/settings/form-layouts.xml file which accomplishes precision and accuracy that could not be met with the outdated program.
ITK Create VPO - Superintendent - Add a type ahead field to speed up locating vendors, making it much easier to find vendors.
Work Orders, PO's, and Service Orders now open directly in PDF format. Also improved loading of work orders, purchase orders and service orders.
ITK Customer Portal enhanced:
Ability for homebuyers to select no cost color selections (controlled via IHMS Properties, ITK2 tab).
Doc*Lib images can be attached to colors and viewed by the homebuyer.
Upgrade Options now show full selection details including levels and color choices.
The 'My Selections' box will now display up to the full 240 characters of
the option's Comments (aka the location/colors) instead of the first 30 characters.
Subcontractor Listing - Add main Doc Lib to Contract Maintenance program main screen. Display docs on ITK next to each
vendor displayed on Sub Contractor Listing.
Vendor's Dashboard
Display the word *VPO* at the beginning of the description for variance purchase orders.
Added Doc*Lib capability to the Color Group field. Now images can be attached to color groups and displayed in the Sales Office / Design Center as well as on the Homebuyer ITK portal.
Upgrade Options can now be exported to Excel, modified and imported back in to IHMS!
Budget Entry - Track area costs in the custom option estimator. Automatically generate an accepted custom option request
representing the cost codes to track the area figures.
Option Budgets:
Option Budget Copy - added check box for copying over package included information.
Add an additional package include field to Option Budget Maintenance for "Include as Incentive". Add a line at the bottom of the Change Order Printing program to show the "Included Incentive" amount.
Reports - Modify certain Job Cost reports to show included options as a subtotal under the
base house costs before the rest of the options. Intended to show what the total base house cost will be with included
options in those communities where included options are used to modify the spec level of a model.
Enhanced Option Control Group capability now checks and warns if required options have not been selected when releasing work orders (House Release) and purchase orders (Auto Create PO's).
Added functionality for Custom Builders!
Bid Worksheet now has enhanced pick parameters that allow you to choose one model or elevation at a time, which is perfect for bidding out a new model/elevation, and very helpful for custom builders.
Schedule A Contract printing has enhanced pick parameters to print contract for one model at a time.
Contract Budget Update and Material List Budget Update now have ability to update all developments within a company at one time.
Material List Maintenance - Add password protection to the copy button in Material List Maintenance. Add a new field in
IHMS Properties on the Passwords tab to store password.
Increased speed when importing Material Lists!
Material List Maintenance import/export to have new logic to track users more specifically in the material list maintenance
program. This makes it easier to do an import when another user is working in material lists in another development.
New ability to print just one purchase order, work order, or service order at a time from Purchase Order Data Entry, Work Order File Maintenance, and Service Order Entry respectively. This new functionality will also ask to send an email if the vendor is setup to email.
Custom Option Reports - Create Accepted Request Detail report by vendor. This will print out information from the work and
materials tab for accepted custom options. It will print an entirely separate report from the rest of the custom option
estimate reports.
COE Custom to Standard Option Copy - provide ability to click 'Add' button on destination option lookup function to allow
users to add an new option on the fly, thus converting a custom option to a standard option without having to leave the window.
Expanded the information that prints in the Custom Option Request emails to include case number, company, development, house number, buyer name, address, model/elevation, option number, option description, location, and COE status.
Custom Option Estimator (COE) - new drop down that allows you to specify when the custom option estimate status will be reset to not estimated. Choices to refresh the estimate status include: always (default),
never, model change, or elevation change in sales system.
Vendor Price Maintenance print button modified to only print info based on criteria selected for display, instead of printing all vendor
product pricing regardless of display criteria.
Multi Price Outs - Added the capability for a salesperson to create multiple "price work-ups" for one buyer. This allows the buyer to be entered once, but create work-ups for multiple different plans, options, etc. Ability to print separate selections worksheets and pricing for all work-ups and only counted as one traffic.
Exclusive Option logic from Option control group applied to making selections in the sales
module. Will not let you select two options from an exclusive control group. Warning message will appear showing conflict ensures flawless option selection.
Quick Mortgage Calculator to provide additional fields for yearly taxes, yearly insurance, and
yearly HOA dues (home owners association dues). These fields will be functional only on the Base Mortgage Calculator found
on the Selections tab, not the options calculator (they will be grayed out since they will not be applicable). Both the base and
options calculator to read the Quoted Rate field from the Financing tab and apply that to the Interest Rate field. If Quoted
Rate is 0.000 default the interest rate to 7.000. Ensures more accurate estimate of monthly payment.
Backlog Report- added a check box to display spec and model homes. The new info prints in same format after the original report
prints. Also now displays a subtotal for SPEC/MODEL homes.
Search button enhanced. When typing in a first or last name, it will no longer search case sensitive. For
instance, typing an "f" will find "Frank", "FRANK", or "frank".

Buying Power - Sales Office / Design Center now calculates "buying power", which defines the dollar amount that a buyer has to spend before their monthly payment increases by $1.
Sales - Option Availability Report (new) shows options still available based on a house's stage of construction. Great for spec houses and multi-family construction.
House drop down selection in the Sales Office / Design Center changed to an easier to use lookup button with added function and now displays and shows option lots, more clearly identifies house attributes, like block/lot and on-hold status.
Add a section at the bottom of the Change Order Printing program to show the "Included Incentive" amount. Included incentive section will show options that are auto-included as an incentive which is a new field in job COst option setup system.
New check box for setting up model homes located on the Sales Info tab of the Sales Office / Design Center. Very similar to setting up spec houses. Sales person can no longer edit buyer name on the Names tab on spec or model homes.
Improved speed/performance of the Sales Office / Design Center by modifying the way the traffic grid loads.
Rapid completion button available in Warranty Maintenance allows you to mark multiple service orders completed at one time without shuffling through multiple windows.

Updates require that all users are off the system for 3 hours.
Since your update may take several hours, determine a time that is convenient for your whole team to be off the system.
Make sure both client, internet, and server (if you are not hosted in the cloud) meet our requirements.
Do you have ODBC reports? If so, review the database changes PDF to understand if your reports will be affected.
What version of IHMS are you currently on? If you are on Version 3.1001.1 or above, you are on the previous release. If you are on an older version, your update may take longer than if you are on the most current version. Don't worry, simply notify us if you are on an older version when you schedule your update and we'll take care of the rest. To find out what version of the software you are on, simply go to the Help > About IHMS menu while logged in to the software.
Do you want your company logo to appear on the top of the reports? To have your logo appear at the top of the report free of charge email to michaelg@marksystemsusa.com. Optimal logo size 172 x 62 pixels, PNG file, white background. If your logo is not in that size or file type, we will format it as best as possible to look great on your new reports.
