Jade Homes, Inc., who is quickly becoming a prominent leader in the single-family, new home construction industry throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties, has selected MARK SYSTEMS’ Integrated Homebuilder Management System (IHMS) to help ensure future success throughout their rapid growth. Jade Homes, founded in 1997 under the leadership of fourth-generation builder and president, Andrew M. Coles, will close approximately 100 single-family detached units in 2003 and plan to double in size in the coming year, having recently acquired Yorktowne Homes, another prominent Gulf Coast, Florida-based homebuilder.

Previously using Buildsoft to address their accounting and purchasing needs, Jade Homes felt that if they were to continue to successfully and substantially increase volume, they would have to implement an all-in-one homebuilder software package that would automate as well as integrate every department in the company, from Sales through Warranty Service. Since their current application didn’t address those needs, Andrew, along with Jason Coles, Vice President of Jade Homes, and Estimator Jeff Yuza put together a software review team comprised of individuals from all departments in the company to assist in finding the best solution.

Jade Homes was introduced to MARK SYSTEMS’ IHMS at the 2003 SouthEastern Builders Convention in Orlando, via an in-depth IHMS demonstration and by attending a Q&A session at MARK SYSTEMS’ booth. Jade also held a follow-up, personalized demonstration at their new office and design center in Sarasota for additional employees. After seeing the unanimous approval of his workforce and their enthusiasm for IHMS, Andrew’s mind was made up to implement IHMS.
