Demetree Builders was initially utilizing the Buildsoft application to manage their information processing which worked out fine for them while they were building 50 units a year, but with the sudden growth spurt putting them at 175 units a year, Buildsoft just wasn’t able to provide them with the automation necessary to track all their trades and the reporting capabilities started to become quite cumbersome. Demetree Builders unanimously felt there was a need for a new software solution, one that would provide them with single database management from sales tracking all the way to customer service. As they started to review various software packages that claimed to be enterprise solutions, they realized that all seemed to fall short of their expectations. They were mostly comprised of a number of different add-on packages with multiple databases and many of them had yet to be proven by a homebuilder the caliber of Demetree.

Demetree was introduced to MARK SYSTEMS’ IHMS at the most recent SouthEastern Builders Convention (SEBC) and were very impressed to see that there was homebuilder-specific software that truly provided its users with all the modules necessary to run a homebuilding company in an effective and efficient manner. The single SQL-compliant database was a substantial reason for following up with MARK SYSTEMS, but the Internet capabilities offered by IHMS Internet ToolKit already in use at a number of MARK SYSTEMS’ clients was the icing on the cake. Demetree’s software review team was also impressed with the number of nationally known homebuilders using IHMS. The fact that a number of them were initially converted off the Buildsoft platform was proof enough that MARK SYSTEMS brought everything it claimed to the table

Demetree Builders has taken the step to move forward with MARK SYSTEMS and are already working closely with the implementation team to prepare for a June install.
